The soldier in this 1/4 plate tintype has red trim on his 9 button frock coat. That trim is consistent with trim that I've seen on infantry (blue) musicians.
I'm not sure I've seen it in red before. The image is crystal clear with great contrast. The soldier also wears his kepi and a belt with a US belt plate that is
gilded. He stands at a column with a military backdrop featuring tents and palm trees suggesting that this was taken in the South. The image is housed in a full
wood and paper case that is in good condition, but has been repaired at the spine. No identification. #11222=$425.00
