I believe that this is the only image I've owned where the Civil War soldier has a flintlock musket. There is lot more going on in this 1/6 plate tintype.
This young Yankee wears a 9 button frock coat and a western style hat with a hunting horn pinned up on one side and a feather on the other. He is in a studio
with a carpeted floor, but there seems to be a lot of debris on the floor to his right. There is also a log post to his right holding up the sheet backdrop. On
his upper left there appears to be a haversack draped over the support. The musket is likely a model 1816. This image is published in my second book of civil
war images "Civil War Hard Images; Volume 2 - Union". I'll be releasing the book the week of Labor Day 2019. The tintype comes in a 1/2 case with no identification. #11230=$800.00
