This 1/6 plate ruby ambrotype shows Williams in a frock coat with his sergeant's chevrons. He holds his bummers cap with a 6th Corp badge, numeral "6" and company designation "I". This image was taken by "H. Flowers at the corner of Church & College streets in Burlington, VT. Because corps badges were not in use at the time of his enlistment in 1861, it is quite likely that this was taken upon his return on furlough sometime prior to his promotion ot 2nd Lt in mid 1864. The image comes in a 1/2 leatherette case. There is an image of him as an officer in Civil War Data #11861=$425.00
