We have a CDV sized tin type of a union private with his rifle and attached bayonet. He wears a
sack coat and kepi. The kepi appears to have 3 rows of brass characters (two to each row). The
center row may say "42", but I can't be sure. He wears his waist belt with attached bayonet
scabbard and cap box. The rifle has its cleaning rod. With the empty bayonet scabbard and
attached bayonet it leads me to believe that the rifle is actually his and not a prop. There
is no identification. The case is Berg's #3-57 and is considered "rare". The case is in perfect c
ondition. The hinges and clasps are intact and tight. This is a rare sized image with a perfect case
that will display quite well in your collection. #2035=$825.00
