This 1/9 plate ruby ambro is perfectly focused. This soldier has an intent stare as if he's looking through
the camera. He wears a shell jacket with should tabs that makes me think he is New York. The image is so well
focused that you can see the eagle "I" buttons under a loop. His kepi is darker colored and has a stripe down the
middle. Is this a "Chasseur's" kepi? The image is crisp, well focused and bright. It does have a couple of mat
abrasions as can be seen in the scan. The ambrotype comes in a very nice thermoplastic case with tight hinges
