The case associated with these two tintypes is nearly perfect, excepting for one clasp chip. The case is Geometric with solid hinges and great edges and corners. The 1/4
plate tintype image of the soldier features a private wearing a shell jacket or frock coat with large 2 or 3 piece buttons and a kepi with upturned bill. Under close
examination, I think I can make out Massachusetts buttons. I can't guarantee that 100%, but several look like the upraised arm with saber buttons. The civilian on the left
wears a civilian coat and vest. There is no identification on either image. #3652=$325.00
