A 1/6 plate tintype of a heavily armed mountain man with his targets surrounding him. This gent appears to be wearing a city slicker vest under his buckskins. He
holds a full stock musket and has a very large caliber pistol tucked into his waist belt. The bear at his left is ready to pounce and the dog at his feet is chained
to the post. I've been told that images of this sort originate from the western parks. Could this be a Yellowstone studio? The image comes in a very nice full
