William H. Stratton has graciously signed this CDV on both the obverse and the reverse. He is seated in his
coat with masked buttons and a large pocket. He wears a kepi with a rain cover and his cavalry boots. He has
his officers sword belt and attached cavalry saber. The 7th Cavalry saw a ton of service in TN, MO, MS, LA and GA.
