This 1/9 plate clear ambrotype is published in "Civil War Hard Images Volume 2". This middle aged soldier wears an 8 button coat with shoulder tabs and cuffs that are a bit
darker than the balance of the uniform. The light colored kepi has a large brass eagle on the face with trim on the rear and both sides. The photographer has inserted a trimmed
card as a backing. I've never seen a mat like the one on this image. It is only one piece including the mat and keeper. #10279=$425.00
