Armed with both a musket (bayonet attached) and what I believe is a foot officer's sword (maybe a musician's sword), this infantry private wears
a 9 button frock coat and a kepi. The buttons and oval belt plate are guilted to the point that you can't I.D. a device of any kind. The 1/6 plate
tintype suffers from 6 dimples in the image, but they don't affect the subject too much. The image has great contrast. I have to believe that the
weapons are all props and this was likely take at the time of enlistment and when this soldier was issued his uniform. The unidentified image is house
