This 1/9 plate ruby ambrotype comes in a geometric thermoplastic case that is in fine condition, with a few corner
nicks. The image is clear, bright and well focused. This corporal's kepi has brass lettering on the crown, but it
is just out of camera angle to tell for sure what it says. It looks like it could be a New Hampshire soldier, but
we'll never know. What is of particular interest is the canteen and the canteen strap he is wearing. He also holds
something in his hands that could possibly be CDVs. His buttons are gilded, so I can't see any device on them.
