This 1/6 plate clear ambrotype features a soldier at attention with his 1860 cavalry saber. He wears a shell jacket with red trim and what looks like
a forage cap with the bottom of crossed cannons visible. This belt plate is a rectangular eagle plate that has been reversed (upside down) so that the
saber appears on his correct side in the reversed image. The unidentified ambrotype comes in a nearly perfect thermoplastic case, Berg's 1-85
"Rebekah at the Well" in brown. The case alone is valued at over $175.00. #11038=$525.00
