The little girl in this 1/6 plate clear glass ambrotype is certainly not happy about something. She is seated in a chair, at a table, with
something in her lap. It looks like it could be a curtain cord or something of that type, but I can't tell for sure. The backing that is applied
to the ambro gives the background a dark bluish tint. The dress is a detailed check pattern with a couple of broad stripes running diagonally.
Her left hand appears to have a deformity of some type. It could be that she's tightly gripping whatever is in her lap, but I don't think so.
