This 1/6 plate ambrotype is published in my book "Civil War Hard Images Volume 2". He sports a fancy cravat with his baggy 4 button sack coat and forage cap. There is some type of device on the crown of the cap, likely a corps badge, but it is at an angle that places it barley out of view. The soldier has a cocked 1816 percussion conversion musket and wears a leather belt with a US belt plate that has been gilded. What is missing is his bayonet. It is neither on the musket nor in the wimpy scabbard. The image comes in a full leatherette case with its original binding. There is no identification. #11231=$625.00
