This outdoor CDV shows 8 uniformed men standing next to a boulder which is next to a creek. This is no backmark or identification of any kind other than the
inscription on the obverse with the date of July, 1864. The seated soldier may be an officer and appears to have a newspaper or map on his lap. There was all
kinds of military activity in this area during the Civil War. I understand that there is now a rail trail that runs the length of Four Mile Run. It would be
interesting to see if one could find this same boulder along the creek today. #11236=$165.00
