The soldier wearing the light colored frock coat and the tall crowned bummer's cap sits in the Richmond Rees' studio for his likeness. Although there is no
definitive proof, he is most assuredly from Virginia. The unidentified soldier sits at the "Rees Table Cloth" with a book. The Rees signature is on the right
side of the image on the table cloth. Often the signature is seen on the left. This Confederate has been expertly posed in this 1/6 plate clear ambrotype by Rees.
The image comes in a full case with its original binding. #11252=$1600.00
