The upside-down chevrons on this corporal's 4 button sack coat make me wonder whether this could possibly be a Confederate. He holds his 1849 Pocket Colt proudly displayed across his chest in this 1/6 plate melainotype. Also, is he missing a middle finger or is that just how the photo was taken with it curled oddly into his palm? This image comes in a full leatherette case that appears to have its original binding. The case is in GREAT shape and this image displays well. There is no identification with this image. #11654=$550.00
