This 1/6 plate tintype comes in a full leatherette case with no I.D. He wears two cross belts with an oval plate and also a waist belt with a small oval plate. The gilding precludes anything on the plates. The belts are patent leather. I'm not sure why, but this makes me think it is a New England soldier; maybe Maine, but that's just my sense. This soldier has his musket and a cartridge box on his hip. He also holds gloves in his hand. Check out the whiskers! #11846=$500.00
