This soldier wears his 9 button frock coat with a waist belt and gilted belt plate. He also has a cross belt (also gilted plate) and a
cartridge box on his hip. He has his kepi on with an upturned bill. The musket has a leather sling and a bayonet. I can't see a bayonet
scabbard on his hip making me suspect that the rifle might be a photographer's prop. This 1/4 plate tintype comes in a thermoplastic case.
There is no identification with this image that was taken inside of a photographer's studio with a white canvas backdrop. You can see the stand
