1/6 plate daguerreotype if a young man who might just be getting his "off to college" picture taken. The image comes in a rare folding case that has a silver shield as its clasp.
Inside of the case are details that, I believe, are for a portrait artist to make a copy. It reads: "P.S. Goodison; Rochester; 8x10; India ink; Hair light Brown; Eyes light brown".
The case is in really good condition. The dag has some solarization and is a bit light. #3045=$110.00
