Published in my book "Military Hard Images Volume -2 Union" this 1/6 plate tintype features a zouave wearing a knit fez that has been very nicely tinted. There is a brass "3" on the face of the fez. The trousers are dark but appear to have a slight red tint as well. There were zouave companies in the 3rd NJ and 3rd NY, but I can't find any reference photos. The image comes in a near perfect Thermoplastic case. #3225=$550.00
