Two soldiers (both armed) in a fantastic thermoplastic case. The case is an octagonal Berg's #3-593 and is considered scarce. The case is in
mint condition and is valued at over $150 by itself. The first 1/6 plate tintype features a seated soldier wearing an early war shell jacket with
a collar and shoulder tabs that are trimmed in white (or maybe blue), a kepi with an upturned visor and a waist belt with a US belt plate. His musket
includes a bayonet. The second soldier wears a kepi with a Co. letter "H" on the face. He wears a similar shell jacket with trim on the collar, but he
wears a blue tinted great coat over the jacket. He wears a non-descript waist belt, but he has two pistols tucked into his belt. The pistols appear to
be the size of 1849 Pocket Colts, but I.D. is not possible. There is slight emulsion damage on the tintype on his right hip. The second image has great
clarity and focus. There is no identification with either image. #3822=$750.00
