From an album of 150th NY Infantry Soldiers, this private is tentatively I.D.'d as Philetus R. Snyder. He was 18 when
he mustered into the 150th NY Infantry. The regiment initially performed garrison duty around Baltimore when it joined
the 12th Corps, with which it marched to the field of Gettysburg to fight it's first battle suffering 45 casualties. The
unit also saw action at Resaca, GA; Dallas, GA; Marietta, GA; Kenesaw Mountain; Peach Tree Creek; Atlanta; and the march to
the sea just to mention a few of the campaigns. Snyder was mustered out on 6/14/1865 at Mower General Hospital in Philadelphia. #4063=$50.00
