This is a rare size with even a rarer case in GREAT shape. This soldier stands in his blue tinted great coat that is open to show his 4-button sack coat. He holds his forage cap with the numeral "12" and "ME" (in reverse ofcourse). The backdrop is fantastic showing two opposing forts and a river. I image that this backdrop might source it to Portland, ME as the 12 was organized there. Much of their action was in Louisiana until late in thewar when they had massive casualties in Virginia. The case is identified by Berg as Scarce, and it is really good shape with the clasps intact and a minor crack at one corner. No identification. #4916=$425.00
