Clear 1/4 plate ambrotype of an infantry officer in a 9 button frock coat drawing his sword. This officer wears a
rectangular (likely eagle) belt plate with a red tinted Officer of the Day sash tucked underneath. He is pulling a
foot officer's sword from its scabbard. His kepi has an infantry hunting horn with the numeral 12 in the center.
The two is upside down making me wonder if he's actually from the 51st infantry and borrowed the 2 to make it look
correct. The belt plate and buttons are gilded. This image has some wear as can be seen in the scan. The case is
"Alone at the Rendeveaux". The hinges at tight and the clasps are intact. There are small nicks around the edges. This
is a good image to display in a large 1/4 plate format. #6310=$465.00
