The soldier in this 1/9 plate tintype has a verbal I.D. of S.W. Wood. It was purchased by me in 1991 in Manchester, MI. This is one of
the very first images in my collection. The soldier wears a 4 button sack coat that only has one button in use. The tintype is as crisp and
clear as they come. The gutta purcha case is in very good condition with a chipped corner and a couple of edge chips, but the hinges are solid
and the clasp is not chipped. #731=$235.00
