This 1/6 plate tintype will display incredibly well! The image has a slightly soft focus and has a small emulsion flake on the bottom right hand side, but
it does not impact the image. The image is clear and has good contrast. There is a slight, rounded bend on the right hand side at the 3 o'clock position, but
again, does not impair the image of the soldier. The infantryman is dressed in a frock coat and wears his cross belt with a cartridge box, his cap box and a belt
plate. The musket has his bayonet mounted on it. I'm thinking that this is not a prop bayonet as the soldier has a bayonet scabbard attached to his waist belt.
The case is Berg's # 3-161 and is in excellent condition. #9554=$510.00
