A 1/6th plate ambrotype of a seated older looking Confederate Captain. The image appears to have been taken prior to the officer applying the rank insignia
to his coat or purchasing a military coat. The gilting has been applied to where the rank insignia would normally appear. Upon close examination of the jacket,
there is no actual trefoil on the sleeves or bars on the collar. The bars that have been gilted to the upper lapel of the coat would indicate a rank of Captain. The
vest and shirt are white and probably civilian as is the coat. #CA1054=$275.00
