A 1/6th plate ruby ambrotype of a seated, unidentified handsome Confederate soldier. The soldier is wearing a gray jacket with service color trim. That trim appears to be a light color probably yellow indicating cavalry or light blue indicating infantry. There are six buttons visible that have been gilted. The top button appears to be different than the others. There is a device that can be seen on the second button but the focus is too soft to positively identify the device. The soldier is sitting in front of a painted backdrop with buildings and drapes. If you can find the same backdrop, you may be able to identify the regiment. The image comes in a leatherette case. #CA1059=$800.00
